Biomass Removal / Chipping

Due to Roland Forestry Ltd being involved in Harvesting and being able to offer a full package when it comes to forest operations. We are able to harvest our sites to optimise the extraction of biomass material once harvesting operations are completed.

We have developed an approach for to extract and chip biomass with a minimal drying period, which doesn’t require additional infrastructure and that doesn’t cause damage to forest road infrastructure.

Removal of Biomass material adds value to material that before had no value. There is also a reduced cost due to there being no need to windrow this material. Also, an additional benefit of removing biomass is that the area that would have before been the location of the windrow can now have trees instead and it’s estimated that you can now plant an extra 15% trees on a site which adds to future harvesting revenues in both thinning’s and clearfell.
